This is the discussion page for the main page. If you'd like to discuss the site introduction or the Yu-Gi-Oh introduction, please do so here. Please discuss any changes you may want to see made to the main page as well, as only the Administrator may edit that page.--Azurite 18:51, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- Might I suggest we remove the story summary and instead have a minor index to the major pages on the front after the blurb? And I can put up the series logo to be used instead of the Yuugi pic. --Fran
I'm still trying to get the Card Article Creators to look as they're supposed to. They FUNCTION as they supposed to, but the templates are outdated. Anyone willing to help copy the files from the YGO Wikia (TwoTailedFox has given us permission), it'd be very much appreciated! Make sure you search for TEMPLATES at the site, though. If anyone knows exactly which templates we're missing or need to be updated, or which templates refer to the create article buttons, please say so here! --Azurite 18:51, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
- I'm pretty sure I've gotten all of the templates downloaded; if anyone's aware of any additional ones we might need (e.g. for Tokens), please let me know. The only problem I'm aware of at the moment is that the buttons for the CAC are displaying raw HTML, even though the default MediaWiki messages don't have brackets in them. Anyone that can help figure out what's going on, please comment here! --Azurite 20:23, 28 October 2007 (EDT)
Card Article Creation order
What do you think should be the policy on articles for cards that appeared first in the anime or manga before being made into a TCG or OCG card? For example, "The Wicked Avatar" started out in the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga, became an OCG card, and is now a TCG card. I do want to avoid multiple articles about the same card, but a card's function can differ greatly from the anime/manga to the final TCG/OCG (and sometimes even between the TCG and OCG) version(s)! Any suggestions would be appreciated! --Azurite 20:37, 28 October 2007 (EDT)
How to handle card information .... ? Just a thought.......
The Yu-gi-oh! Episode Guide at http://www.yu-jyo.net/card/index.html is handling cards by giving the card name, then what other names it is variously called (in the manga, in the Japanese OCG), whether it's a real card or not, and if it is, the card series number for the OCG and the TCG sets it was issued in, along with the card's attack and effect. The site maintainer is also going through and listing which episodes the card was played in for the Duel Monsters series, and, if the effect is different in the show, he notes that. He is behind in being current, for obvious reasons, but it works really nicely for bringing the cards together in one place instead of having two or three different articles all for the same card. You might want to do something similar, or simply put up a redirect to his site instead... Barb 20:14, 27 March 2009 (UTC)Dark Star
