Late October Update

If you’re a repeat visitor to Seventh-Star.Net, you may be wondering…hey, where’s the site? Here’s a quick fall update to let you know what’s up, what’s down, and what can be found where (soon):

Former WordPress sites:

  • Along the Way, the Téa x Seto webcomic by Flashchimp and CleopatraWolf, is coming back soon as part of the Seventh Star Network and an affiliate of Blue Eyes and Apricots, the First Seto Kaiba x Anzu Mazaki (Téa Gardner) fanlisting, as well as Dragonfayth, the Web’s Premiere Azureshipping fanfiction archive!
  • Indigo Ink, my personal portfolio, writing blog, and resume, will be coming soon. Eventually, you’ll be able to get it it by visiting my personal domain, MeredithSweet.com. In the meantime, check that site out for a lot of similar content!
  • Chixflix, an educational site about (of course) so-called “chick flicks,” created for an English/Pop Culture course at California State University Northridge by myself and several other students in Professor Charles Hatfield’s class, may experience some downtime over the next few days, but it will be back as part of the Seventh Star Network soon!

New WordPress sites:

  • All of the sites that were formerly part of Animanga Collision will now become WordPress sites.
  • Other sites that were previously static, including the Sailor Moon website Mare Serenitatis and its sister site, Viva Forever, will become WordPress sites. This also applies to several other sites for various fandoms including Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Hana Yori Dango/Boys Over Flowers  and more.

Sites That Are Staying The Same (For Now):

  • Dragonfayth – As mentioned above. This site runs off eFiction software, not WordPress, and as a fanfiction archive, will stay using that software instead of WordPress for the foreseeable future.
  • Azurelist and owned fanlistings, including Blue Eyes and ApricotsMemorandum of UnderstandingKimi no SobaExtravagant SkyThe Firefly Room, Ace of Heartsand Mechanical Innocence will continue using the Enthusiast software script. If one day it is possible to bridge WordPress and Enthusiast, these sites may grow in the future!
  • WikiFic and Derailed, both wikis, utilize the MediaWiki software and will continue to do so.
  • Archived static sites, including Blood Moon and all non-WordPress educational portfolio sites will likely remain unchanged for the sake of history. These are currently down and will be uploaded as soon as possible.
Drafts:
  • Delishidoodle: For all sorts of web graphics, layouts, and more. A mini-portfolio of my graphic design work, with emphasis on fannish creations.
  • Epiphany: my personal fanfiction archive, will likely be another eFiction site.
  • Mer’s Ultimate Guide on How to Use LiveJournal/Dreamwidth – Will likely be a post or series of posts on Indigo Ink, when it comes back, or a static site.
  • Several fanlistings… (top secret!)
  • Souten Scans: could easily become a WordPress/ComicsPress site

    1. Hi there,
Thanks for letting me know about this error! WikiFic was once subject to loads of spam, so I added a special banned IPs extension. I’m discussing with my host how to increase the memory limit necessary to sort through that extensive list, and I hope to hear back from them–and have WikiFic up and running–again soon!

Thanks again for letting me know!
