Possessed Katsuya Jounouchi as he appears in the Duel Monsters anime

Possessed Katsuya Jounouchi (also called Brainwashed Jounouchi) is a facet of Katsuya Jounouchi that only appeared once in the Duel Monsters series, when Malik Ishtar used the Millennium Rod to take control of his mind, and forced him to duel Yuugi. However, Jounouchi managed to break through Malik's mind control and intentionally lost the duel, thereby saving both Anzu and Yuugi's lives. In the anime, his sister, Shizuka dove into the water after Jounouchi, saving him from death by drowning. In the manga, it was Seto Kaiba who saved Jounouchi's life, by dropping the key into the water so that he may free himself.
